Dallas is a 9 yr. old Australian Cattle dog, coming from Champion lines on both sides of his pedigree. He spent the first 5 ½ yrs. Of his life as a ranch dog and head of home security until he and his owner discovered the sport of Agility. By the time he was 6, they started competing at the Novice level. This turned out to be lots of fun for him. He really likes the idea of being to run free while going over all of the different obstacles! He competed in his first Australian Cattle dog National Specialty in 2004, and at 7, he won the 20” Open Standard Agility Class. While competing in Agility, he also began showing in conformation toward his AKC Championship. With limited showing by his owner, Dallas earned his AKC Championship and also attained 2 Best of Breed wins. He has also earned his Canine Good Citizen title and last fall earned his Rally Novice title. He has also been recognized by the Australian Cattle Dog Club of America as a QW, which is a Qualified Worker. This year he will be competing in another sport that he absolutely loves and was bred to do, herding! Dallas’s Summer schedule is going to include some squirrel hunts, trail rides, and time to play with his best cattle dog friend, Bindi Boo, as they are planning some 2006 puppies. We are hoping that they have his special bubba, loveable attitude and his willing heart. He is truly very special, and the best friend a person could ask for.
