Max is an australian cattledog/border collie mix born in August 1997.  He started agility at 2 and a half and has had great success in competition.  He was a 2004/2005 Grand Prix semifinalist and earned a bye to the semis in 2005 with a 5th place at the Southwest  Regional Championship.  In 2005, he also finished his ADCH-Bronze and Lifetime Achievement Award Bronze, finished in the Top 10 in 22" Snooker and was a DAM Team Tournament Championship Finalist at the Cynosport World Games (11th out of over 200 teams).  In 2006, Max won Northwest Regional Championship in 16" Performance National Standard, earning a place in the Finals that November.  He had an incredible Nationals in 2006, placing in 7 out of 9 classes.  He was 1st in Versatility Pairs Snooker, 3rd in VP Jumpers, 3rd in VP Relay, plus a 4th place in Performance Power and Speed.  He also made the Finals in the big three events.  He was 4th place the Performance National Standard Finals, 5th place in the Performance Speed Jumping Finals, but his proudest achievement was in Versatility Pairs All-Around.  He and his partner were both mixed breeds and still took 2nd place out of over 80 teams.  The team that beat them had two former FCI World Team medalists on it.  Go mutts!   Max also finished his ADCH-Silver in 2006 and looks forward to finishing his Lifetime Achievement Silver in 2007.  He is nearly impossible to live with, now that his head has grown so large.  ;-)   Away from agility Max enjoys watching football and rock diving at the Santa Ynez River.  He also loves a good tennis ball and manipulating treats from students.
