"Pie"

Owned and Handled by Marla Vogeley

The Pie
Belgian Malinois

Pie is my third and newest dog.  I adopted her from the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter as a yearling in 2007.  She is quite different than my two shaggy dogs.  She is fast, and powerful, and her natural confidence ensures she does not have natural attention.  She is my first dog that wants to work for the work, rather than just for the cookie or toy (although she won't turn her nose up at either!)  We are still in training, focusing mostly on agility, although I plan to do obedience eventually.  Pie loves to play with other dogs, and anything else she can get her mouth on.  She also loves to walk off leash, ranging further than I would like, until she is a speck on the horizon, then charging back the whole way at full speed when I call, or when ever else she feels like it!  I love her impulsiveness, although it does cause me grief.  For all her size, Pie is cuddly, and is finally learning that correct cuddling involves being still and that it does not involve attempting to nibble the ring off my finger.  The best word to describe Pie is "fun."  She is really a neat dog.
