NADAC in Prunedale
August 7 & 8
Report by Peggi and Terra

I knew it was 104 degrees last year at Contact Point the same weekend so decided to take an adventure up North to play NADAC!!! It was in the low 70's all weekend with even fog in the morning and afternoon! Perfect Peggi weather as I am a wimp in heat!!!

This show was so much fun! Small, great show site and the courses were just wonderful!!!!  Indy's jumpers runs were fast and furious. The first day her standards were super and fine the next day too with only a few silly handling moves by me. I stopped her on all her contacts longer than usual and by the fourth standard run she was not a happy camper! So I went back to the faster more motivating releasefor her! I learned something very valuable from this!

She got her last open gamblers leg so now she is in all elite! Yeah!  I entered her at 20" to keep her happy and fast; she just loved it!

We also had a blast at the judges dinner with the best seafood you could ask for with artichokes to die for. After all we were in the artichoke capital of the world!!! We didn't know that until we read the sign!

Terra ran Seeker like he was in Elite all weekend even though this is her second NADAC and the last time she only ran a few runs!!! They are a amazing team!  Kathy Brusca and Roxy also went and had some beautiful runs! Fun was had by all!!

"I ran Seeker in a very small NADAC show this last weekend. It was his first complete show. He held all his contacts and all of his start lines, yeah!!! That was my main goal. He also hit all of his weave entrances hard and fast and weaved beautifully. He did everything I asked him to do on the course. I feel very lucky to have a dog who is such a character and so much fun to run with.

One man said if he could pick any dog at the show to take home he would take Seeker - I kept my eye on that guy, hee hee.  Needless to say I'm on cloud nine!  I learned a lot and had a blast. This small calm show was quite a confidence builder."
