One-year-old Charlie came from Petfinder, via a rescue organization that takes dogs from high-skill shelters and places them in foster homes until they are adopted. We have had him for six weeks, but it only took a few minutes to fall in love with his sweet disposition, goofy puppy enthusiasm, and one-of-a kind looks—this dog put the “random” in random-bred!
Charlie has revolutionized our household—we are no longer that easy, comfortable pack of three—with Lizzie in the middle—who can predict each others every move in our quiet lives. No…we are now out for long walks twice a day, meeting new dogs and people, careful to keep lingerie and anything with shoestrings/drawstrings behind closed doors, harvesting the cats’ litter box religiously and loving it!
Charlie just started Anne’s Novice Rally class and when he is ready, we will try Agility as well. We believe he will make a terrific therapy dog once he is trained and has matured a little. Big thanks to Shelly, Charlie’s foster mom, for saving this lovely boy for us!
