Novice Level Agility Seminar w/Desiree

Saturday February 9th:
8:00am – 12:00pm Novice Level Agility Seminar: Creating Consistency in your Handling System

This is intended for dogs training and/or trialing at the Novice level in Agility, and for experienced handlers with a young dog. Dogs are a minimum of 12 months old, must be proficient on all of the obstacles, have clear contact obstacle criteria, able to do 12 weaves with the handler on the right or left side of the dog.

Emphasis on having fun and building your relationship with your dog, strengthening your reward-based training. Also setting the foundation to trust your dog and for your dog to trust in you. Desiree will also discuss how to walk a course, and what to look for during walk-throughs. Exercises will include learning the dog’s path vs. the handler’s path, and how to find and set your dog’s line in a sequence.

Cost: $150/GVDC members, $170/non-GVDC members. Limited to 8 working teams, unlimited auditing ($50)

About Desiree Snelleman:
Desiree is a nationally and internationally renowned handler and coach. She is admired for her assertive and smooth handling style and motivational teaching presence. Desiree has been successful with a range of dogs and breeds including her own Border Collies Stinger, Pace, Cru, and Siberian Husky T’ai.

Desiree has represented the United States three times at the Agility World Championships as part of the AKC World Team, and five times as an IFCS team member.
