Open Level Agility Seminar w/Desiree

Saturday February 9th: 1:00pm – 5:00pm Open Level Agility Seminar
This is geared towards dogs training and/or trialing at the Open level in Agility, with dogs ages 15 months and older. Dogs in this seminar must be proficient on all of the obstacles, have clear contact obstacle criteria, able to do 12 weaves with the handler on the right or left side of the dog. Handler is able to perform and dog understands front and rear crosses.
Desiree will help teams develop consistent and direct communication that creates clarity and confidence, what is rewarded will frequently be repeated. Additional areas of focus will include what to look for when walking courses to best help your dog when you run together, finding and setting the line, being able to determine the dog’s path vs. the handler’s path, being present during your training and trialing, always with the emphasis on rewarding often and having fun with your dog.
Cost: $150/GVDC members, $170/non-GVDC members. Limited to 8 working teams, unlimited auditing ($50)

About Desiree Snelleman:
Desiree is a nationally and internationally renowned handler and coach. She is admired for her assertive and smooth handling style and motivational teaching presence. Desiree has been successful with a range of dogs and breeds including her own Border Collies Stinger, Pace, Cru, and Siberian Husky T’ai.
