5:00pm: Novice Rally Skills Class:

Back to basics with our Rally Skills class! Come enjoy this fun sport with your dogs, work on training skills with your dog in a fun environment in Rally Obedience. Benefits of participating in Rally with your dogs can include improvements in attention and focus around distractions, walking nicely on a leash, and obedience skills such as stay and come when called. We will work skills needed for the sport of Rally, and then sequences and courses with the signs and exercises. We will be focusing on the signs and skills as seen at the Novice level.

Novice Rally is fun sport to enjoy with your dog, moving through a course comprised of stations with obedience exercises to perform. It is all done on-leash, and there is no jumping or hard impact on the dogs’ bodies. Intermediate/Advanced Rally exercises are great for those who have already completed the Novice class and are ready for more challenges.

I train the Rally exercises with my dogs to improve their loose leash walking, obedience skills and training, and focus around distraction – and I really enjoy the rewarding format that is what Rally is all about.

Novice level: Arrive at the park around 4:40pm, the class starts at 5:00pm and runs for about an hour.

Dates for the Rally class session:

August 28th
September 4, 11, 18, 25

**This is a 5-week class session**

In the event that I need to cancel a class due to bad weather, the make-up date will be held on October 9th.  Please note that 10/9 will not be a date that I have a class for those that cannot make a class during the planned session.  Refunds are not issued for missed classes.

Cost per dog per session: $125/GVDC members, $150/non-GVDC members

*Payment for the class session is due on the first day of the session, checks are made out to “GVDC”
*Please arrive at least 20 minutes prior to class start time to walk your dog, set up your area, help with Rally items
*Please help with setting up and/or breaking down the Rally course, picking up the signs and holders, etc. Thank you!
