This class is designed to help with the training required to pass the Therapy Dog evaluation to become certified with Love on a Leash, so you can do therapy dog visits at approved locations.

Here are the details of the class:

Time: Wednesdays 7:15pm – 8:15pm

Dates: March 23, 30, April 6, 13   Testing will take place on April 20th

Cost: GVDC Members $125, Non-Members $150. Cash or check made out to GVDC.

Approved equipment for classes and testing: flat-buckle collar, martingale collar, a body harness (except the Sporn no-jump harness), head-collar.

Prong/Pinch Collars and E-collars are not allowed to be worn or used in class or for the testing. 

Bring with you to class each week:

1. Your dog on an approved collar or harness, a 4-foot leash
2. A bed, mat or towel for your dog to lie on when not working 
3. Soft meaty treats to use in training that your dog loves, a couple different kinds

I have a class before yours on Wednesdays that runs until a little after 7:00pm, no need to arrive any earlier than about 5 minutes before class, parking will be easier that way as well.
