Saturday and Sunday was an all-breed agility trial. The show committee had special ribbons and awards for the Cattle Dogs which was very nice.
Saturday:
Kylie: Q’s and blue ribbons in Open Fast and Excellent B Jumpers (we had a bar down in Exc. B Standard)
Maizey: Q’s and blue ribbons in Novice Fast, Jumpers, and Standard
Zip: Q’s and blue ribbons in Excellent A Jumpers and Standard
Kylie and Maizey received some pretty ribbons for being the top Cattle Dog finishers in several of their classes that day. Maizey was High Scoring Jumpers with Weaves dog for Saturday with a 7.15 yards per second Jumpers run!
Sunday:
Kylie: Q’s and first place finishes in all three of her classes: Open Fast, Exc. B Jumpers and Standard
Maizey: Q’s and first place finishes in all three of her Novice classes: Fast, Jumpers, and Standard
Zip: Q’s and first place in Novice Fast and Exc. A Standard
More High Scoring ACD ribbons for Kylie and Maizey in their individual classes, Kylie won the High Scoring Standard and Jumpers with Weaves awards for Sunday, and was the High In Trial ACD for Sunday too – yay Kylie!
On Sunday and Monday we did Rally, Sunday Kylie took 2nd in her Novice B class with a score of 98 – good girl!
On Monday Kylie won the Novice B class with another score of 98, and Maizey was 2nd with a score of 97! In addition to ribbons, I received a beautiful leather wallet for Kylie’s run, and a lovely silver engraved frame for Maizey’s Rally run. Nice to come home with some cool prizes too!
This was the first time we got to do Team Rally, you have 4 dogs on a team and you run a Novice Rally course. The time starts when the first dog crosses the start line, and end when your fourth dog crosses the finish line – all 4 scores on your team are combined. Maizey’s Team came in 1st and Kylie’s team came in 2nd. It was extremely windy during the Rally trial which made things interesting: signs were blowing around, as were napkins, leaves and trash around the Rally ring which easily distracts the dogs.
We had a great time!
