Lizzie is a honey-colored Cocker/Cavalier mix that we got from Petfinder about six years ago. Thanks to Sandy, her rescuer and foster mom, shy and frightened Lizzie never had to experience life at a shelter after she was found wandering the streets of South-Central LA.
We believe she’s about nine years old. She was born with three legs and no tail, so to her that’s the norm—she often asks why other dogs have an “extra” leg. With her big brown eyes and long, golden ears, she may look ornamental, but she’s 100% dog—she can run like the wind, loves her walks, balls, other dogs, her large family of stuffed animal “children” and, most of all, treats. She also enjoyed her Agility classes.
If we could have designed the perfect dog for Kent and me, we couldn’t have done better than Lizzie. We are so lucky to have her!
